Russia plans on banning all United States of America's news articles from covering their country's parliament. The country did this as a repercussion for what US government chose to do. The senate of the US decided to "strip the RT news network of its congressional credentials." The government of Russia saw the US's decision of banning Russia news coverage as unfriendly, so they chose to do the same to America. The women behind the banning of American outlets, Olga Savastyanova, stated that she would also encourage regionals assemblies of the government to adopt this practice as well, saying that they want their local governments to not be covered by American news outlets as well.
