In St.Paul, Minnesota students are fighting to save their first amendment right of free speech. According to their teacher Lori Keekley, the students published papers have been censored a few times over the year. While the students have their teacher on their side, they also have Minnesota state representative Cheryl Youakim to aid them in their fight as schools begin to
"censor student's reports or stories if it might make the school district look bad". The students and Youakim are advocating for H.F. 1501 and S.F. 1562., several other states passed similar bills which will hopefully help the students succeed in their fight to save their freedom of speech.
