Students, particularly, are taking an interest in Journalism, especially in school newspapers or as a class. One thing that can stump these students, is fake news. This is spread around everywhere now, because anyone can post anything they want no matter if its real or not. Although, fake news can prohibit a student from understanding a true story, but they are still able to be creative throughout their texts. Taking a journalism class can be very beneficial to students, as it shapes their writing and shows them how to apply it to the real world. It sparks "curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, patience, listening, [and] empathy" (Kolb) in a student and that can prepare them for anything the world has to offer.
