Alzheimer's disease is a hereditary disease that deteriorates your brain, causing memory loss; this disease also has no cure and According to research, "about 5.7 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease". The number of people who are diagnosed with Alzheimer's is expected to rise. In 15 years, from 2000 to 2015, the amount of American's who had Alzheimer's "more than doubled". The cost to have this disease, along with other dementias, is ridiculous. Not only to the patient and the family of the patient go through "financial, physical and emotional toll[s]", they also go through large amounts of money. It costs about "$277 billion this year" alone and that number is just going to continue to rise. It is expected to even reach "$1.1 trillion by 2050" which is almost an insane thought.
